Looking Back...

I was looking back at all of the old books that I used to read from when I was twelve and under and came across this one:

I loved this book series to death (and still do) it was so funny and relatable!
Inside of the book there is series of diary entries that I've written myself. These entries were written when I transferred to my current secondary school, they were funny and sweet; full of hopes for the future.

Dreams unaccomplished that I still care about and simple things that I have always loved deep inside were all found again! I found that by reading my own 11-12 year old thoughts, old things that made me smile a little, actually still make me smile a lot.
It made me reflect on whether I am the teenager that my 10 year old self wanted me to be.

A TV show that I love and is coming to an end. At first I hated it because I felt as though it was replacing Hannah Montana (typical I know) I ended up loving it and wanted to so badly be a part of the show! I get so sad about the fact that it is ending because the first episode aired around the same time that I wrote this 'diary'.
No matter what problem I was battling it always made me feel happy again and it's so special and mind boggling that a TV show can do that. I found my favourite band through that TV show and I have learnt a crazy amount from that band, plus they always make me smile. So on this blog I'm going to use this time to say goodbye to Austin and Ally (even though the last episode hasn't aired yet) and thank you.
Because of Austin and Ally, I'm so open to change... It's where all the magic happens!

Healthy School Routines ~ How To: Survive In The Jungle

I personally find getting into a healthy school routine so difficult! Having a healthy school routine is far from just being about 'what you eat'. It also includes how you spend your time!

I've put together a realistic routine for myself and I am going to share it with you today!
Hopefully it will highlight what you may need to change about the way that act when you wake up and when you come back from work/school or whatever you usually do:).

P.s. Part of both of my routines are to drink milk because I hate milk and I don't drink it. (which I'm pretty sure is why my bones click sometimes) I am also about 5 ft 4 and I want to be 5 ft 7 by the time I am 16 haha.

This is my school morning routine! It's pretty basic and we all do the first two anyway!
Usually I don't eat breakfast before school and I know that it's totally wrong and by doing that I'm just not helping myself.
So I am putting a stop to an extremely bad habit and will always make sure that I eat something before I leave the house.
The next thing on my list is to read! Reading is something calming that is so much more productive than scrolling through your phone for 10 mins before you leave the house! It is one of my main goals to keep that up as a good habit :).

After School for me is a nightmare and usually consists of me eating a crap-load of junk food and watching YouTube videos and catch-up TV, which if you think about it is the norm for most but terrible on so many levels.
I didn't want to do anything drastic so instead I decided that I would work out for 20 mins or so to loosen up a bit (nothing crazy just stretches, jumping around to music and all that jazz) eat something healthy and do all of the work that I needed to, then take a small portion of time to possibly plan a blog post, read or watch something. It's so much healthier and generally a better routine, so let's see how long it lasts!

If you were wondering how I made the cute little notes, I did it on Google Keep and I love the app, (you can get it on your PC too) and I literally organise my life on it haha! You can add pictures, reminders and tick things off so it is definitely worth checking out!

Update!

I don't ever post updates, I just usually add them in my next posts. So this should tell you that this post is pretty important haha!

I have decided that I am going to post every Saturday (starting next saturday)

I want to put even more effort into this blog! It will be fun, so enjoy the ride and I hope that you enjoy all of the upcoming posts!

This post would not be complete without a cute tumblrish picture so:

*Note, I have taken the comments away just for this post because I didn't feel that there was a need for a comment section, it will be back in future posts :)*

School... ~ How To: Survive In The Jungle

School... sucks.
However we do have the power to make it less suckish (icarly slang right there haha)!
In my third year in secondary school I feel somewhat qualified to share my experiences and give you advice!
This is the first post in my new series 'How to survive in the jungle' .
These posts are for people just starting school, stuck in the middle or anyone that enjoys reading school-themed posts.

Let's get started!

In order to survive school you need, I repeat NEED to have a good attitude, otherwise you just won't enjoy your time there. You really don't want to be the kid that feels like this 24/7!

If you want to actually be happy in school you have to re-jig your spinners and turn those no sections into yes sections! It can be hard to do, but with out a doubt you can! Just smile more and think of the good moments you do/will have!

Next.. Teachers... (One of the main Bozos)

We all have problems with teachers, they can be unfair, annoying and plain rude but they shouldn't be the reason why you don't want to get out of bed in the morning! Teachers have feelings too and chances are that you just got off on the wrong foot. Try to build neutral healthy relationships with teachers. Show them that you care about your education and it will shine through that they do care about you, your progress and well being.

To me this is definitely an essential. It's the book that I am writing my story 'Upside Down' in. I bring it into school every day, just in-case I gain sudden inspiration and need to add something. This book makes me happy and calm. I always know that I have something that I enjoy doing at the tip of my fingers. If you have something like my book. Bring it into school (if you can trust yourself to keep it safe). It's something positive, always in your bag!

So many of us feel like this. I do all of the time! We just have to hold on and try to enjoy what ever time we have left. School isn't forever but memories are and so is the rest of the life that we get to live :)

Here are some:

Yeah!
Sorry, couldn't resist adding this picture haha

You also need to be organised and find comfortable routines in order to survive school... which I will go over in more detail in another post so be on the look out for that! (haha I know, I'm such a tease).
